ZINC Vital for Sperm and Foetus Development
Zinc: Vital to the formation of sperm and reduced levels can result in a low sperm count. Zinc is also vital to the development of the foetus.
Deficiency Signs: Indications of low zinc levels can be a reduced sense of smell and taste, night blindness, halitosis, minor skin disorders such as acne and eczema and/or white spots on finger nails.
Some foods that contain Zinc: Oysters, ginger root, parsley, brazil nuts, pumpkin seeds, buckwheat, carrots, oats, almonds, sardines, garlic, olive oil, spinach, lentils, lettuce, haddock, tuna, chicken.
What to do: If you think you or your partner may have a zinc deficiency ask your doctor to carry out a test of your zinc levels and consider finding a good nutritionist.
