hi my hubby had same problem.
We did ivf with icsi in 2009 and have a 1 year old boy.
Also, I also just did a pregnancy test b/c of late period (i am always regular) and it is positive. So never give up!
Hi my partner has had 3 semen analysis, the morphology has been 13% , 0% and 6% and the moility is very poor too,
any one had any luck? or is this a bigger problem?
Hello Rugbyliz and Hollylynn, gald to hear yr good news, did it work first time??
Hi
Yes it did work first time...we were so lucky.
I can not recall what my DH results were in terms of numbers, but they said that although he had loads of sperm, most were dead. Of those that were not, many were a dodgy shape, and most were not moving. Of the ones that were actually moving most of them were going in triangles, very slowly!
My fingers will be crossed for you!
Liz
It is so lovely to hear positive stories, my husband and i are at the begining of our ICSI journey. He has a good count and good motility now.. (after a change to a super halthy diet) but the morphology is terrible at just 1%. We have suffered two losses after falling naturally and have been advised that ICSI is the way forward for us.
I am finding it very difficult coping with everything emotionally right now, all of my friends have babies naturally and no one understands and just says be patient and dont get down, hard when you never dream you will be here in this situation!
Hi, we've been told DH's morphology is 5%, which is considered at the low end of sub-optimal. We do see the specialist tomorrow to see what he suggests we do next. I have heard and been reading about ICSI
We're also thinking about having DH redo his SA test in 2-6 weeks, if not twice during that time. He drinks way too much caffeine, so that is being almost completely cut from his diet and he's taking FertilAid, multivitamin. We're hoping even these minor changes may get his levels back into sync.
My DH has good sperm count but low mortility, we were told we needed ICSI but when the day came the sample was good enough to do normal IVF, unfortunately I had poor response to stims and had low quality eggs so although two fertilised they didnt implant. just starting 2nd cycle and the ICSI is "decide on the day"! SO what I say is dont give up hope that you might not be able to have normal IVF and there is proof here that ICSI works. we didnt really change much as eat healthy anyway but did stop drinking altogether through treatment, dont know if that was what helped. this time iv had him on Sanatogen father to be so will see if that makes a difference
good look to you all and congrats those who its worked for already
