I have had one failed cycle of ICSI, had tried accupuncture, but noticed very early that my consultant does not have much experience in dealing with IVF patients.
Can please someone recomend a good consultant in London/Essex area.
I hope this website permits and thank you in advance.
My friend is using the Kite Clinic in Bond Street London - meant to be very good - huge waiting list for the guy who runs it but that have many other therapists who deal with IVF/Infertility. Can ask who my friend is seeing there if you wish. I think it's about £160 first consult then about £85 thereafter. Not cheap but they are meant to be very good. If this cycle doesn't work (hoping it will but day 11 after ET and have started bleeding) I will definitely be going for my next round.
There is also a lady based in Chelmsford I think who is meant to be very good - can find out more about her - think she is linked to the NCT Chelmsford group.
Her name is Hazel but I can't leave phone numbers on here as they pick up on it - am going to give you my email address in a different format coz they'll pick up on that too - email me and then I'll send you her phone number. it is paulalnorris at virginmedia dot com (you can see what I have done with the at and the dot thing).
I am 13 days post ET so my official test date is tomorrow but I have been a bit naughty and have tested early but it has been BFN :-( Have had some spotting too which hasn't seemed to of amounted to anything although convinced that my AF was coming...and still am. Pure torture the 2WW.
Not sure what this lady is like but worth a go as I know she deals with infertility issues but Kite Clinic meant to be excellent.
Good luck with everything and keep me posted with next cycle ok.
I recently started using ZitaWest in London, 37 Manchester street. I think they are excellent! I did my first 2 cycles without accupuncture but now use it on the 3rd IVF cycle and can really feel the difference. I cannot recommend the Zitawest clinic too highly! Good luck!
Hi
I have had truly incredible results with accupuncture for issues unrelated to fertility.
So with all 3 IVF cycles I have used it and believed...
Although it actually hasn't helped in my instance...
At least I feel as if i'm helping to a degree, the scientific literature claims it does help.
It has cost me a small fortune but I have recently found a wonderful healer reflexologist who only charges £15 for two whole hours of bliss. So think i'll stick with that...well until the next time : )
