Hi all

How is everyone?

Got my 12 week scan tomorrow and so anxious / frightened they are going to tell / show me something I don't want to hear / see. I bought a doppler but could find the heartbeat - could find the train sound but apparantly that is the placenta. It says it will work from 14 weeks...I was just being hopeful! I am not going to use it till then now as I hurt my stomach with the poking!!!
My morning sickness is now back with a vengence - it went for a few days around 11 week mark but God has it come back... Roll on 14 to 16 weeks when I have been told it will definitely go!!!

My waistline is increasing daily! I cant wear my normal jeans anymore - its leggings at the moment. Wore my maternity jeans the other day but they were far too big...Kept falling down...I guess I'm in that in-between stage. I am a size 16 anyway so you wouldn't tell I am pregnant but my stomach fat is now hard as opposed to squishy!

I have my midwife app after my scan, when I originally went they didnt take a blood test so I am going back to get one as I rhesus neagative (a-) and will need an anti d injection later into my pregnancy.

Anyway will let you all know how it goes....You think I should be so excited rather than dreading it!!! I guess it is to be expected from what we have all been through!

Hi girls

Are you all doing well? It's rather a grey Sunday morning up in Yorkshire but very still and quite warm.

Sorry I haven't written for such a long time, it seems ages since i last posted.

Frankly, it's been awful over the past couple of weeks. The spotting that I experienced around my 9th week never disappeared. Just on the opposite, it got progressively worse. At first the EPU didn't want to see me but few days later agreed to another scan for re-assessment. I simply cannot explain how terrible and I shaky I felt, assuming that the worst has happened or was on its way.

To cut the story short, the baby is a fighter, it was doing just fine and growing well. They said I've had extra chorionic haemorrhage which sounds awful but is apparently common and that the pregnancy itself should continue as normal. They also said, at this stage (meaning after 12 wks), we the IVF girls stand just as good a chance of having a successful pregnancies as the rest.

So, it's been a bit of a roller coaster for me but now that I have officially entered the second trimester (13wks 4days today - wooohooo!), I truly hope it gets easier and less worrying.

Caz, I also had my nuchal scan test last week, the results came back good and promising, with the risk of down syndrome at 1:7336 (which is low). They only recommend further investigations if the risk is greater than 1:150. You mentioned before you intended to book yours, have you had it yet!?

I really hope that all is well with you all and that you are now enjoying your pregnancies.

Love
Maya

Hi everyone

Maya - sooo glad to hear everything is ok after all! That haemorrhage thing sounds nasty lol - probably worse than it is - will have to go ogle it and see what it means ;) Also good to hear that you nuchal scan went well :D I've not had mine yet, but it's booked for the 24th, which is also the day we have our first Consultant's appointment at the hospital :) Seemed sensible to book them for the same day as I'd need to take time off work for each if they were on different days!

As for what's happening here... well, the answer is, not much! Not had any scares, everything is just pottering along nicely. I'm still waiting for the tiredness to go away though! I was in bed asleep by about 9:30 last night lol.... just so very tired! Will probably be off early tonight, too ;) weird, really - tiredness and fankles are my only real symptoms at the mo - well, that and a bit of a bump, lol... oh, and I'm still hungry... that hasn't subsided yet either ;)

How is evernyone else doing? It's gone very quiet on here, has everyone moved over to the BBB section? I've pondered setting up a new thread on there for babies due in Feb 2011 but not dared to yet in case it would be tempting fate!

Hugs and fankle reduction dust to all ;)

Caz :)

Hi all

Its been a while...I think after 12 week scans there is a long wait for things to happen...I had my 16 week mw app last week. Everything good, heartbeat fast and strong and all tests came back fine. Just waiting on my 20 week scan app which should come through any day now. Got my consultant scan for 22 sept - only seeing him cos I have had an ectopic in the past...Looking forward to it cos i have only seen mws and he'll (God how sexist of me!) or she'll have a good look to make sure very healthy baby. Cant wait to find out what we are having as you know my morning sickness was very severe for 15 weeks and with being so worried about things that could go wrong I dont feel I have bonded as much as i would have hoped with the baby and i think knowing the sex will help me do that. Apart from that everything is good. Indigestion and heartburn have arrived but would take that anyday rather than the ms (which is still here but not constant). Hope you are all blooming - I am still waiting - mw says about 24 weeks I will bloom for a few weeks before the 3rd trimester tiredness sets in! These people who love being pregnant I cant understand it - LOL!

Anyway happy baby growing
Amanda xx
