Hi All

I had my scan today and........................its TWINS!!!! The nurse said they are both a good size at 6mm each and both have nice strong heartbeats. It was a bit of a shock at first but we are now getting used to the idea and really excited. Cant belive all those trys with drugs and then my body does it on its own with a natural fet!!!!
I am due to go back on the 10th for my 9wk scan.

Hey Maria

Cograts on your news. No wonder your BFP line came up so early!!

Lou - poor thing, hope your bum is ok!!?? Your little bean will be fine, nice and tucked up and safe. Not long for you scan.

I feel very tired and fat!! Baby is moving around loads, lots of kicks. I have a midwife appointment Thursday so will be nice to hear the heartbeat again.

Hope everyone else ok, its a bit quiet on here.

Congrats Maria - twins is great news :D

Lou - hope all that was bruised was your pride ;) Good thing is your bean has it's own private airbag lol so probably won't have felt a thing ;) Looks like you're catching up with me on the scans! Yours is only 9 days away now?

I'm just under a week off my next scan... it's actually on the day that I'll turn 13 weeks, so not really a 12 week scan at all ;) It seems an eternity now since my 8 week one... I'm both looking forward to my scan and dreading it, lol... just in case it's not going to plan :( Got no reason to suspect it isn't all ok, but there's still that niggling thought.... guess we all go through that at this stage ;)

How is everyone else doing?

Take care all...

Wow our first set of twins, Congratualations Mariak.

I am in Slovakia at the moment so trying to holiday and keep away from computer, but I just cant resist.. Oh and cant work the keyboard either its all different so theres no punctuation Im a fraid. You would think I§d have mastered them by now but never can rememeber..

Caz, I had the same thing with my 12wk scan being when I was nearly 14 weeks - good thing is the next one comes around a bit quicker, am glad you are keeping positive.

Lou, again, not long till yours either.. v.exciting. Sorry to hear you feel over, gives you quite a shock I should imagine.

Millicat, thats brilliant youve got lots of movement, Im struggling still to feel anything which makes me a bit anxious but I know many women dont till bit later..

Well we had our 20wk scan on Tuesday and everything was good.. I nearly had a wobble and wanted to find out the sex but didnt. The sonographer wasnt that good and it felt a bit rushed and he didnt explain everything to us BUT as I say main thing was all was ok except my placenta is low lying which Im trying not to panic about and hopefully it will move.

We flew on Weds am and had to go to the IVF clinic in Bratislava to pay for our frosties. Popped into the the loo and noticed a mark of what looked like blood in me undies - totally freaked out and was convinced it was all over, was literally paralysed by it and uncontrollable tears running down my face cursing myself for flying - Luckily it couldnt have really happened in a better place than an IVF clinic - and before I knew it our consultant had me trousers off and legs dangling .. after an internal and a scan he said there was absolutely nothing and everything was ok. Still not figured out what the marking was in my knickers - sorry this is sounding bit gross.. but think I might have thrush maybe.. anyway - given low lying placenta he said I should avoid bending too much and jumping around - not that Ive been doing much of that - he actually had me in stitches as in all seriousness he told hubby I should have a very small cognac to relax the muscles. Ive not taken that piece of advice and wonder if he just thinks Im totally neurotic.. but shall bear it in mind.

Trying to relax now and not start googling - hence my avoidance of the computer but do hope everyone is doing fine..

Sorry for the self centred post - think I just needed to get the angst off me chest. Will catch up more fully if the sun goes in but right now off to make the best of it..

HI

Thank you all for your congratulations.
Iy must be a day for scares as i had one today as well. I started bleeding really heaviliy about lunchtime and was also convinced it was all over as there was loads of blood. But the clinic got me straight in and both heartbeats were still there beating away nicely we even got to hear them this time. Apparently bleeding with multiple pregnancies is really common and i should only worry if i get pain and clots!!!

How is everyone else getting on, any bad morning sickness???

Afternoon ladies

Cosmic - I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and rest? I wish the weather would make up its mind and either be sunny or cold, not wet and warm? Hope you are better with spotting etc?

CazKat - not long now for the scan. When is yours? Are you being treated at Liverpool? My scan is Friday afternoon in Chester. Am a bit like you, nervous but also excited. Surely my growing boobs and tummy cannot be down to excessive eating alone? I did say to a colleague today that we will probably see a Thorntons chocolate covered toffee not a baby in there as once I start I cannot stop.

Mariak - how are things? Hope you are feeling less ropy and the little beans are well and safe?

Milliecat - how are things with you? Have you had your midwife appointment yet? when is your scan date?

Hello to anyone I have missed.

WIll pop in later in the week to see how everyone is.

Hi Ladies... well, been for my scan today, and it's definitely a baby ;) All looking ok, right size, good heartbeat... arms and legs waving... amazing ;)

Lou - I'm under Warrington now... much more handy for me ;) I have a friend who is a midwife at the hospital there which works for me!! She's not 'my' midwife, but it's nice to know I can ask her if I have any concerns ;) Laughing at your choc toffee baby... I knew mine won't be cos I've gone right off chocolate!

When I was at the hospital today another couple came in... yurns out she's almost 13 weeks, but you couldn't really see a bump at all? Strange how everyone is different... I've been hiding mine behind big cardigans for about 2 or 3 weeks now lol.... I think everybody at work just thinks I'm getting fat(ter) ;) Will surprise them tomorrow with the truth as we've decided to go public now! It was my birthday on Sunday and we normally take cakes in but I haven't done that yet... so it'll be cake and announcements tomorrow :D

Anyway - enough about me, lol... how is everyone else doing??

Hi CazKat

Yippee another hurdle passed. Enjoy your cakes today and letting people know.

I am having a minor wobble. Went to the loo last night and wiped and there was reddish blood, felt physically sick. No more reddish but rather old yukky brown stuff. I am trying not to be paraniod but I am a bit worried. I will give the hospital a call today for reasurrance if anything. I also have a couple of mates who are mmidwives so may call in a favour. Typical I have not had any problems and here we are 2 days before 12 weeks with discharge!! No other symptoms like cramping so am hoping things are OK.

Well time for more tea.

Love to all

Hi Cromwell
I am sure everything will be fine, the bleeding thing seems to be really common i think they should warn you about this at the clinics!!

Cazcat
Glad your scan went well and its definately a baby, were you expecting something else in there!!!!LOL
I cant wait to go public, you must be so excited about telling everyone.

I am feeling alot better now the bleeding stopped the day after, just feeling a bit queasy and blaoted!!! I am sure my trousers are getting too tight already and i am only 8 weeks!!!
