My husband has low sperm count and poor morphology. He had a varicocele repair a few months ago. We are going to try IUI before we move on to IVF. Anyone out there get a BFP with IUI?

I never tried IUI but my dh had low sperm count and lots of abnormals). We had successful icsi 2nd time round ( I also had one blocked tube and poor hormone results). I have since had a spontaneous pregnancy and am pregnant again with no 3).
Just wanted to tell you there is hope and give you some tips x x
Some history, we started trying naturally in 2006 with no luck and in nov 2007 had first round of iui after finding out dh had low sperm count and poor morphology i had few probe too so had clomid before finding out about hubby (hospital said it was my issue to didn't test hubby till later :-( anyway hubby gave up any drink not even a pint a week ate lots of fruit and veg and bottles and bottles of water a day and lost a stone within 3 months his sperm count was completely normal and our first go at iui was successful resulting in the birth of our daughter who is now 3 x we were worried we may have similar probe again so started trying when dd was 3 months old with no luck dh went for another test and found again he had low count etc etc so again he gave up all bad food gave up alcohol and basically followed the diet he had earlier including taking zinc and magnesium which he had also done first time round and within 5 weeks i got a bfp naturally which resulted in the birth of our son who is now 2 xmas day just gone.
I would advise you to ask you hubby to try the above and fingers crossed u will have the same outcome x x
