this is the 1st time i will be going thru any treatment on fertility. doc has advised icsi. though i know the steps i dont know what to expect to happen to me/ my body personally. any insights would help.
the injunctions will begin next week and i wanted to know if there is anything i need to do to be more prepared like exercise, diet etc.. please share personal experience.
about to start my 2nd round icsi in feb - don't stress about it, I was SO scared of needles before we started but I was surprised I could give the shots to myself no problem. it is painless. The advice I was given by my consultant and also other professionals is:
-don't go on any kinds of dramatic diet change as it with through you body off its normal balance and you want to minimize stress on your body right now
-keep taking folic acid
-drink lots of water (apparently important with IVF drugs)
-cut out all caffeine and alcohol if possible
-ensure you are eating protein daily
-absolutely do whatever you can to eliminate stress in your life during this time. I know that is SO hard to do, but you owe it to yourself to maximize your chance...
