We live in Kent and have been trying for a baby for about 4 years now.

I have had a cycle of IVF, but only produced one egg and now the clinic says they cannot go any further and recommend finding someone who will donate eggs or register for egg sharing.

However, I have been told by the clinic they recommended (as my current clinic cannot do egg sharing) that the egg sharing will take about 9 months before they can find someone. I really feel that I cannot wait that long to start the process.

I was wondering if there is anyone who would be willing to donate eggs.

Hi there, sorry no-one has replied, probably cos most of us on this particular part of the forum need eggs ourselves! I think that is why almost all of us have gone overseas, to Spain or Greece etc.
I was told we would have to wait a year for eggs in the UK...
It depends on your age - can you afford to wait?
I am 45 and had no time. So off to Spain it was, 3 months later I am 5 wks preg and hoping it will keep.

The downside of Spanish baby eggs is that the process is totally anaonymous, so you and your baby will never know who the donor was. Maybe that is a benefit??
In the UK when the child turns 18 they can apply to trace their egg donor mommy.

hi am i willing to be an egg donar as we also have been trying for a baby for around 6 years and i am high risk of a eptopic pregnacy and with us not being able to afford for full ivf egg donation is the best way for us to go and if it means helping some one out thats is even better i am currently with newcastle fertility clinic at centre of life x x

Hi sorry for not replying sooner, as life seems a bit mad at the moment. Thanks for all the information. However, since posting my request, I work colleague has offered her eggs and she is in the process of having tests etc. Fingers crossed all is OK.
