Hi. I am embarking on the ivf journey and hoping for egg donation. My question is this. Am I likely to need all the money for the ivf upfront, or is it essentially pay as you go ........... bit of a nightmare , when you are on a minimum wage job. I have been told I cannot get a donor egg on the NHS. any information you can give me will be great, thank you. Heidi

Hi Heidi

from experience my IVF's were a "pay as you go" until egg collection..so you paid for all the scans, blood tests, drugs and then the full remaining whack if you got to egg collection.

With donation in Spain you pay for your medication and then nothing until you get to transfer and agin it's the full remaining whack....

hope that helps and good luck
