I had been diagnosed with azoospermia appx. 4 weeks ago.
I just found out yesterday the results of all my blood work. Everything (incl Y chrom, cystic fib, etc.) is normal except for testosterone & FSH. I am told that my FSH is elevated and my testostrone is too low. The doc seemed pretty positive (I think he has to be) that with Clomid he can raise my testosterone, lower my FSH, and maybe get sperm in the semen (in about 3-6 months).
Has anyone ever heard of this??? I read online that if this is the problem, that there is no cure. That got me down. But my doc said don\'t read too much on the internet. He also said that in 6 months time, we can try TESE & IVF.
Any thoughts? or better yet, and success stories witth this prob?
We are just starting to deal with this also. My husbands hormones were normal three-four years ago. They retested him a month ago and found the testosterone to be low. We are hoping that the chlomid will help us too. I read your email on the other chat topic and I sent a reply (who do you tell?). If you want encouragement, read that response. We have a sixteen month old son... he is a complete miracle from God. Have faith and pray hard. God loves you and He is faithful. Jesus will get you through this!
